Built for tandem instructors and their passengers, the CYPRES 2 Tandem features a higher default activation altitude—approximately 1,900 ft (580 m) AGL—while maintaining the same vertical speed threshold (~78 mph / 35 m/s) as the Expert model.
This ensures that larger tandem canopies have sufficient time to open and provides enhanced safety coverage for increased exit weights and slower opening rates.
The unit includes robust construction, reliable activation, and the same familiar handling interface found on standard CYPRES 2 models—making it ideal for professional tandem use.

*These temperature limits do not mean the outside (ambient) temperatures but rather temperatures inside the processing unit. Therefore, these limits won‘t have any meaning until the processing unit itself has reached the temperatures in question. In actual fact, these limits will rarely be reached due to the location of the CYPRES in the reserve container, and the insulating properties of the processing unit pouch and parachute canopies.
